Wrap started in a small specialty café in Jakarta. The owner — a friend — was on her third POS in two years. The first was so slow her staff started keeping a paper backup. The second charged per device, so she could only afford one register on weekends. The third looked beautiful on a Macbook and was unusable on the actual tablets at the counter.
We started building Wrap because we wanted to give her one thing she could trust. A cashier that worked at 6am with no wifi. A dashboard she could read while waiting for the kids to finish swim practice. An ingredient sheet that updated her margins automatically when the cost of milk went up.
That's it. That's the whole story. We're a small team, we ship slowly on purpose, and we'd rather make one café owner's Tuesday morning easier than chase a flashy feature roadmap.
Four things we won't compromise on.
Calm is a feature.
Most POS software was designed by accountants for engineers. We design for café owners who'd rather be tasting espresso than fighting a sidebar. Everything in Wrap exists to remove a tab, a click, or a question.
Offline by default.
Indonesian internet is patchy. Wrap's cashier doesn't pretend otherwise. Every sale is captured locally first and synced when the network's back. You'll never lose a sale because the wifi flaked at lunch rush.
Multi-outlet from day one.
Most platforms make you upgrade to manage a second shop. We don't. The architecture assumes you'll have more than one outlet eventually — even if today you have one — and the dashboard is built around it.
Your data is yours.
Export anything as CSV from the dashboard, anytime. We don't train AI on your menu. We don't sell your customer data. If you ever leave, we hand you a clean copy and delete ours.
